Abstract:

Single crossover is set for trains to turn back temporarily in order that the trains can transfer from one track to the other and the operation flexibility of the urban rail transit works can be improved. Single crossover is usually set at the end of the platform. When single crossover is set into curve, the excavation length of the urban rail transit station can be reduced and thus the construction cost of the station can be lowered. In this paper, the minimum distance between the centers of the tracks when single crossover is set into curve is studied on basis of GB 501572003 Code for Design of Metro and the technical parameters of vehicles and switches. In the end, the minimum distance between the centers of tracks under 4 cases with different combinations of vehicles and switches are obtained. The paper can provide guidance and reference for the setting of single crossover of urban rail transit projects in China in the future.
