Study of Application Technology of Chute Embedded  Outside Metro Shield Segment

Abstract:

The preembedded chute for shield segment cannot be replaced resulting from fullring embedding. Hence, the technology of chute embedded outside shield segment is studied by theoretical analysis and site experiment from the aspects of feasibility and safety, by taking Phase 1 of Lanzhou Metro Line No. 2 for example. It is concluded that: (1) The technology of chute embedded outside shield segment can meet relevant requirements; it is replaceable and easy to install; and by doing which 40% cost can be reduced. (2) The technology mentioned above is feasible for metro shield tunnel, highspeed railway shield tunnel, mined tunnel and urban utility tunnels; and it is worth popularizing.
