Abstract:

To improve the existing continuous driving technology of shield, a new type of shield containing articulated sliding cylinder structure is proposed. Compared with the conventional shield, this type of shield requires a set of reliable, long distance, high load, and large diameter reciprocating linear dynamic seal structure. A simulation analysis and test of articulated sliding cylinder dynamic seal are conducted to validate the stability and reliability of the reciprocating linear dynamic seal structure. The simulation analysis results show that the ultimate bearing capacity of the first polyurethane drumshaped bidirectional seal in the test bench is 0.45 MPa under the preset initial compression rate. The test is conducted under different media environments, test pressure of 0.5 MPa, and reciprocating motion accumulated test length of more than 4 000 m, whose results show that the reliability and durability of one polyurethane drumshaped bidirectional seal and three packing seal structures meet the requirements.
