Abstract:  To implement the national "Carbon Peak and Neutral" strategic goal, the problems and the status of network operation energy consumption in the green and lowcarbon development of Xi′an rail transit are summarized, the application measures of lowcarbon technology are forwarded and analyzed. In view of the main links in the process of urban rail transit planning and design, engineering construction, and operation management, the corresponding energy saving and lowcarbon emission reduction measures are systematically proposed from the aspects of planning design and operation management, lowcarbon application of operating vehicles, lowcarbon emission reduction of station system, resource sharing of largescale land and energysaving and emission reduction of equipment. As well, the application prospect of green and lowcarbon technologies applied in the field of urban rail transit is presented. Based on the current situation and future development of urban rail transit, the toplevel planning and design, the mature experience of the industry, and the application results, a green and lowcarbon method is explored for Xi′an urban rail transit, which can promote the application of green lowcarbon technology and green transformation, and guide and construct an intelligent, green, and sustainable urban rail transit.
