Study on Replacement of Disc Cutter under Atmospheric Condition

Abstract:

There are great difficulties and high risks in the replacement of the disc cutters of largediameter shields under high water pressure. Therefore, a device used for the replacement of the disc cutters of largediameter shields under atmospheric condition is developed. Under the help of the device developed, the disc cutters can be replaced under atmospheric condition, which not only reduces the disc cutter replacement cost, but also minimizes the disc cutter replacement risks.
