Key Technologies for Deep Superlong Water Diversion Tunnels: A Case Study of KaShuang Tunnel

Abstract:

The main geological problems of KaShuang deep superlong water diversion tunnel are analyzed. The key technologies for rapid boring and safety control of superlong tunnel TBM construction are proposed in terms of alignment arrangement, applicability design of TBM and matching system, construction of main tunnel and branch tunnel, construction risk control and complex management of TBM group construction. The geological conditions investigated illustrate that there is no geological risk. The deep and long inclined shaft and deep intermeadiate vertical shaft are needed due to the complanate landform; and further study and feasible technologies are needed as well.
