Construction Management Model and Key Technologies for Underground Utility Tunnels in Urban Areas

Abstract:

The underground utility tunnel is very important to urban construction in terms of pipeline, road and traffic protection. The stateoftheart of the urban underground utility tunnels in China and abroad is studied; comparison between construction management models of underground utility tunnels in China and abroad is made. The key issues of construction of underground utility tunnels in China are summarized. And then a construction management model of underground utility tunnel by using PPP mode is proposed. Suggestions are given in terms of planning, design and construction based on the characteristics of newlybuilt district and old district. The designs of pipeline storage, cover depth, crosssection, connection points and seismic resistance are analyzed emphatically. The integration between underground utility tunnel and underground space is analyzed. The results can provide reference for construction and popularization of underground utility tunnels.
