Abstract:
With the expansion of scale of the tunnels constructed by TBM, more and more bad geological conditions such as extremelystrong rockburst, serious rock broken, large deformation, etc. are encountered inevitably, which would greatly affect the construction safety, schedule, cost and investment of TBM. In this paper, the construction technology and management of TBM boring in extremelybad geological conditions are studied and analyzed based on bad geology that would be encountered and TBM construction experience; the geological exploration, general planning and design of project, construction technology and management are studied; and suggestions and countermeasures, i.e. advanced geological prediction, timely primary supporting, advanced treatment, construction schedule and investment control, relevant standard improvement, etc., are proposed. The results can promote the scientific and continuous development of TBM method.
