Abstract:  The structural, geological and construction information collected from tunnel site is seriously fragmented, lacking a unified organization framework, thus leading to the difficulty of analyzing and utilizing. The dynamic design and informationized construction of the tunnel should be improved. To enhance tunnel construction informatization level, the construction data organization standard is defined, a standardization application is developed to support the unified organization of heterogeneous data. To improve the application of building information modeling (BIM) technology in tunnel and data integration level, a multiscale BIM model is established, in which geology, schedule, design plan and other information are indexed by mileage. Through a standardized tool, the unification of construction data management and visualization can be realized. Based on the dynamicallyupdated construction data and lightweight BIM model, a construction information management system with integrated information model as the core and integrated desktop, web and mobile applications is established to provide comprehensive information for decision making and construction risk dynamic evaluation, which ensures project efficiency and safety. Finally, the system is applied to Laoying extralong highway tunnel in Yunnan, and the applicable results prove that the system can meet the requirements of informationized management of tunnel construction The results can provide reference for the informationized management of tunnel engineering and the application of BIM technology.
