Abstract:
The belt conveyors are usually used to muck in long and large tunnel constructed by TBM. The auxiliary driving should be used when the mucking distance is long, so as to reduce the maximum tension and strength of the belt. A more adaptable magnetic friction typed auxiliary driving system, which has advantages of large power, no secondary transportation, no secondary impact damage to the belt, simple structure, less fault, compact structure, easy installation and flexible configuration, is developed. The abovementioned system can be used in belt conveyors in TBM tunnels, branch tunnels and tunnels which need auxiliary driving. It has been applied to the middle Yellow River Diversion Project in Shanxi successfully; so it is worth popularizing.
