Abstract:

With the startup of New Route Construction Project of Guangzhou Metro in 2012, the designs of many new Metro lines are in progress. On the other hand, the business development of the station halls of Guangzhou Metro can not only provide great convenience for the public, but also can support the Metro construction with its profits. In this paper, the characteristics, classification and design principle of the business development of the station halls of Guangzhou Metro are analyzed, the basic design ideas for the business development are discussed, and the passenger flow organizations and the station hall shops and selfservice equipment layout of standard Metro stations, underground onestorey sidetype Metro stations and fourline Metro stations are proposed. The paper can provide reference for the design of the business development of other Metro station halls in the future. 
