Abstract

Abstract:

Singleshield TBMs have been successfully used in many foreign countries, but there are few such cases in China. No. 7 tunnel of Phase I Works of Tao River Division Project in Gansu, China is bored by a singleshield TBM. In the paper, the construction of the tunnel is presented, and conditions for the rapid boring of singleshield TBM are analyzed in terms of geological conditions, equipment, assistant measures and construction organization.
