Abstract:
As the urban rail transit network continues to expand, the number of transfer Metro stations is increasing. The design of the Metro stations that transfer with the current or shortterm Metro stations is in detail, however, due to the lagging of the plan of the Metro networks, the study on the Metro stations that transfer with longterm Metro stations is inadequate. The positions and preserved transfer modes of the current Metro stations have direct influence on the arrangement and functions of longterm transfer stations. In the paper, the types and features of doubletrack Metro stations that transfer with longterm Metro stations are discussed, and case study is made on Puhuangyu station and Weixingguangchang station of Beijing Metro. It is suggested that, in the design of longterm transfer Metro stations, special attention should be paid to such issues as Metro network planning, Metro station siting and transfer node preservation.
